GOVERNING BODIES

The Governing Body of Taraknath College of Education, Singur, comprises of the Honourable President, the Honourable Secretary, and the Treasurer, With Two more additional Members, who have been vested with ultimate power of decision making in terms of Institutional Policy Matters, Governance and Administration, which is thereby executed by the Respected Principal of the College. However, the Institution implements and executes its policies under the guidelines of the Government Statutory Bodies of the Higher Education Department, viz. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University (BSAEU), Kolkata, National Council of Teacher Education (N.C.T.E.), New Delhi and West Bengal Board of Primary Education (W.B.B.P.E.), Kolkata.

Desk of the Hon'ble President :

• Espousing the noble cause of producing reflective teachers ideal for facilitating School Education and Higher Education as per National and International educational Trends.

• To evolve as a model institution for teacher education with global standard to develop social responsibilities with improved performance among the teachers of the new generation.

• To strive for academic excellence and quality assurance in the field of teacher education.

• To enhance the level of confidence among the teachers in the classroom to manage congenial classroom situation for effective teaching.

Desk of the Hon'ble Secretary:

• To prepare the Institution for initiating the upcoming ITEP system in B.Ed. Course as per the New West Bengal State Education Policy (WB-SEP) and National Education Policy 2020.

• To provide a framework for learning within and beyond the formal curriculum that offers pupils a range of opportunities designed to help them reach excellent standards of attainment and achievement.

• To provide effective teaching that is marked by high, but realistic, expectations, and which promotes a joy in learning that forms a sound foundation for continuing achievement in later life.

Desk of the Hon'ble Treasurer:

• To boost the institution for vertical and lateral growth by initiating the M.Ed. Programme for the future and promote Research activities alongside.

• To establish an Entrepreneurial Incubation Cell for new Start-Ups and Ventures for Student Career.

• To initiate new ventures of Academic and Vocational Studies in various other disciplines such as Nursing training, Pharmaceutical Studies, Medical Laboratory Training, and studies related to Industrial Training Institute and Diploma Engineering etc.
